Base hospital Homagama was donated in 1946 by Mr. Semaneris Appuhamy , a well known philanthropist of the area. With his vision of uplifting the living standard of the common man, he diverted a great potion of land and wealth generated by his businesses to serve the community. Today there are over 290,000 outpatient visits, 159,000 patients seen in the clinics and over 70,000 patient admissions annually. In our operating theatres over 7900 surgeries are performed while Over 2400 babies are delivered at our obstetric units each year.
